Westfield State group returns from Nicaragua

Although we have no direct connection to this Westfield group, this article gives a nice perspective on the importance of service learning and talks specifically about Nicaraguan communities.

Trip dates officially set!

We had an opportunity to add a member to our group if we went during the earlier dates: 6/25-7/3. Since no one came forward with a decisive vote against the earlier dates, that's what we're going with! We have blocked off our flights with Pioneer Valley Travel and are moving forward.
If you have questions, conflicts, or concerns please let Jeff or I know. Keep your eye on this blog or see me in school for the next steps. Remember to get that paperwork in!

Meeting this Thursday 3/7, 5:30pm!

We will be meeting this Thursday to square away some paperwork for the trip and finalize some details. Please have a parent present if you are under 18. If you are unable to be at the meeting please contact Jeff or me.
Let's meet at 5:30pm at Primo's in town. Jeff and I will be there early if you would like to come and ask questions or if you are still considering coming along.

Paperwork Meeting Thursday Evening 3/7

For those of you who have given deposits and those who expect to: we will have a paperwork meeting on Thursday March 7 in the evening at a location to be determined. Jeff will be there to direct us through it. If you need more details, please see me during school.
Also, there is still time to join the trip! Tell friends and family. Come to Nicaragua!

Snow Day!

Because of the snow day I will shift the deposit due date to Monday. I have 9 deposits so far and am expecting a few more!

Parents: if you are considering coming on the trip, let me know. We can get you a great price any time.

Enjoy the snow now because we will be in Central America in less than 5 months!

$100 check to "Pioneer Valley Travel"

I have already collected three and am very excited to collect more. Remember that this deadline is to secure the initial trip price of $1,650. This is NOT a hard and fast deadline for the trip. If you decide to join our group later on, we will certainly accommodate that, but we won't be able to guarantee the $1,650 price point.
