Deposit Due Date and The Next Thing

The due date to ensure a spot on this trip at the price that was initially set will be on Friday, February 15.  This is not a rigid, you-can't-come-if-you-miss-this, deadline but if your deposit comes much later, it may cost a different amount to book a flight.  Also, it will be exciting to finally look at some numbers for our group and begin planning.  Please make a $250 check out to "Amped for Education."

In addition to the trip deposit, we will also need a $100 check made out to "Pioneer Valley Travel."  This check WILL BE CASHED, but YOU WILL GET THIS MONEY BACK AFTER THE TRIP.  The money will be used for securing flights.  This is Pioneer Valley Travel policy.

If you still have questions about the trip and would like to arrange a meeting with Jeff or me, or would like to personally deliver a deposit, please contact me and we can do that.  I can accept deposits at school (I have already collected 2!)  Once we come back from February break we will plan to have another meeting with Jeff to move forward with the rest of the arrangements.

Trip date clarification

Originally the trip dates were tentatively set for June 26-July 5, but due to the amount of positive interest, our trip dates will be shifting one week. The new dates are July 6-14 (+/- one day either way).

I have successfully collected our first deposit and am prepared to collect deposits at any time. You can bring them to school or arrange another time to meet. As the semester changes, I have one more pitch to my new 9th grade classes next week and then we will have one last meeting to answer any final questions, along with a due date for deposits. We are looking to book flights in February so keep checking this blog for more information about the next meeting and the due date. Or please just find me in school to confirm your commitment and we can talk.

Meeting Thursday January 10 at Holiday Pizza

I've just secured a spot for our meeting! We will meet at 6:30 at Holiday Pizza in South Deerfield center on Thursday. Some pizza will be provided, first come, first served.
Remember that we will be prepared to take your $250 deposits. Parents: we want you to come on this trip, too! Jeff Pluta will be there to answer any of your questions that you still may have. Please make checks out to "Amped for Education".
